The Barrhill Community Interest Company (BCIC) has been operating since 2008 and is a Company Limited by Guarantee governed by its Memorandum and Articles. A community interest company (CIC) is a type of company, designed for social enterprises that want to use their profits and assets for the public good. There are special regulatory measures to ensure they are working for the benefit of the community. BCIC is not a charity and achieves some aims by funding provided to the Barrhill Development Trust.
The current directors on the BCIC Board are: John Thomson/Chairman, Richard Brown/Vice Chair, Laura Brown/Secretary, Pearl McGibbon, Kassie Farmery, Collette Bailey, and Liz Ottaway

Directors are elected at an Annual General Meeting, which is held yearly, in August/September.
Following each AGM, elected Directors allocate the following positions; Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Company Secretary and Treasurer.
Membership is by written application and once approved remains in place whilst you continue to fulfill the membership criteria.
